This
year marks the 34th anniversary of the
McDonald's All American® High School Boys Basketball
Game that will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2011
in Chicago, Illinois. The McDonald's All American Team
alumni represent some of basketball's greatest players,
including former and current NCAA and NBA super stars.
A
selection committee of prominent high school coaches,
prep scouts and media from across the country choose
the nation's top graduating high school basketball players.
Players are then notified that they have been selected
as a nominee, The final all American team is then chosen
from the list of nominees.
At
the February 8 Golden Bears vs. Westland basketball
game, it was announced that UA Senior Captain Brian
Sullivan has been selected as a nominee for the
2011 McDonald's High School All-American Basketball
Team.
Currently
Brian has scored 1,018 career points and is third all
time in points scored in UA basketball history. He is
only the third player to surpass the 1,000 points mark.
Brian
is #1 in all time career 3 pointers made with 163, and
the all time steals leader.
Brian's current GPA is a 3.3, and he will be attending
Miami University in the fall.
Additionally,
for being only the third player in UA history to surpass
the 1,000 career scoring mark, Brian was presented with
the Game Ball From the UA / Watterson basketball game,
where Brian scored his 1,000th point.
